Apacer DRAM Products Warranty Policy

This statement is not intended for users who do NOT directly purchase products from Apacer. Such users should check with the seller for any warranty service.

This statement only applies to direct purchasers of products from Apacer.

Apacer DRAM modules have different usages for consumer or industrial. There might be some difference in their warranty statements. Please click below DRAM modules for more details:

Industrial DRAM Module

APACER TECHNOLOGY INC. (hereinafter referred to "Apacer") (hereinafter referred to "Apacer") warrants that its products are free from defects in material and workmanship within the product warranty duration. Subject to the conditions and limitations set forth below, Apacer will, at its option, either repair or replace any part of its products that prove defective by reason of improper workmanship or materials. Repaired parts or replacement products will be provided by Apacer on an exchange basis, and will be either new or refurbished to be functionally equivalent to new.

This warranty does not cover marred cabinets or any damage to this product that results from accident, abuse, misuse, lightening, fire, water, natural or personal disaster, or any unauthorized disassembly, repair, or modification.

This warranty covers only repair or replacement of defective Apacer products, as provided above. Apacer is not liable for, and does not cover under warranty, any costs associated with servicing and/or the installation of Apacer products.

This warranty does not cover if the serial number is removed or tampered by anyone other than Apacer. This warranty does not cover products purchased through auctions, both on-line and off-line. Sale of discounted merchandise is final and Apacer will not provide refund or exchange.

Apacer reserves the right to refuse a warranty claim for promotion product or discount product.


DOA Policy

All Value Added DRAM (VA-DRAM) Products from APACER are under DOA “defect on arrival” policy within 45 days from the date of manufacture (S/N) to customer installation. For any Value Added DRAM (VA-DRAM) products from Apacer are damaged or found to be faulty within this period, Apacer will provide replacement products on an exchange basis with the new uint(s) to the customer within 10 days once Apacer receive returned defective products.

Products that have been in use beyond the DOA period will be repaired under the terms of the Aapcer’s warranty statement and not replaced with new products.

 


Duration of Warranty

The Apacer VA-DRAM product line (including Industrial Memory modules, SDRAM modules, DDR modules, DDR2 memory modules,DDR3 memory modules as well as DDR4 memory modules) are covered by this warranty for a period of three years: Apacer will identify product warranty by the manufacture date.(Apacer out of warranty status)

 

 

Warranty Claim Procedures and Requirements

All return items must have a RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION (RMA) number issued by Apacer from Web site http://service.apacer.com. To obtain warranty service, you have to return a defective product, freight-prepaid and insured, to Apacer. You must include product identification information, including model number and serial number (if applicable) with a detailed description of the problem you are experiencing.

Once you have obtained an RMA number from Apacer, you must, within thirty (30) days, send the product freight-prepaid and insured to Apacer. Products shipped to the factory must be properly packaged to prevent damage in transit. You must include the Apacer RMA number prominently displayed on the outside of your package and on the shipping label only.

If you send your product to the factory without the RMA number prominently displayed on the outside of the package, it will be returned to you unopened. Customer will be responsible for round-trip freight for RMA.

Apacer does not allow customer to collect RMA and have a huge shipment return.

 

Typographical, Photographic and Technical Errors

Apacer does its best to be accurate but occasionally mistakes do occur. Apacer is not responsible for any typographical, photographic or technical errors. Apacer will try to advise you of any such errors affecting you via email confirmation when you place your order. Note: Products and packaging depicted may differ from stock available at time of shipment; Apacer reserve s the right to substitute equivalent items.

 

Disclaimers
Apacer disclaims all warranties either expresses or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Apacer shall have no liability to anyone for incidental or consequential damages merchandise which is sold "AS IS". Apacer makes no warranty as to the performance of any merchandise sold.

The Product must be used with devices that conform to the recommended industry standards. Apacer will not be liable for damages resulting from a third party device that causes the Product to fail. Apacer shall in no event be liable for any consequential, indirect, or incidental damages, lost profits, lost business investments lost goodwill, or interference with business relationships as a result of lost data.

    Brand-Specific DRAM Module

    Three-Year Warranty:

    APACER TECHNOLOGY INC. (hereinafter referred to "Apacer") provides a three-year warranty starting from Oct 1st 2011 for its memory module products as set forth below. The new warranty policy applies to purchases made after Oct 1st 2011. The products purchased before the date are subject to previous published limited product lifetime warranties.

    • For warranty service during the warranty period, the label, which must include the model number and serial number, has to be provided to Apacer.
    • If a product has been repaired by Apacer, and within three months after such a repair the product requires another repair for the same problem, Apacer will do this free of charge.

    The following are not covered under this warranty:

    • Memory modules not manufactured or produced by Apacer.
    • Memory modules that have been repaired or serviced by anyone other then Apacer.
    • Apacer memory module products that were purchased as testing supplies.
    • Accessories, wrapping materials and refillable goods other than the memory module itself.
    • Damage that has arisen from poor packing, and/or shipping damage, in the process of sending the device for service and repair.
    • Product compatibility problems not resulting from any defect in the Apacer memory module.
    • Memory modules that have been misused or damaged by the consumer.

    For any replacement or repair the consumer wishes that are excluded by this warranty, or for which the consumer does not have the label with the model number and serial number, Apacer provides for a paid replacement and repair service.

    • For quality anomaly occurring under abnormal operating conditions as reported from the customer, or of products that have surpassed the warranty period and have been referred to Apacer's marketing department, Apacer may provide a paid replacement and repair service warranty, covering:
      • Apacer memory modules that are not shipped by Apacer Technology to the customer.
      • The warranty label on the memory module product has either been removed or otherwise damaged.
      • The circuit board, IC or RC parts and components on the memory module product contain obvious scratches, or impact or burn marks arising from improper operation or installation, or mishandling.
    • Memory modules that are eligible for the paid replacement and repair do not include modules that Apacer ships to its customers directly. The repair charge for paid replacement and service will be verified by the marketing department in consultation with the production control department, and the customer duly informed. The customer's consent will be required before any repair or replacement is made.
